The Science
The Gold Standard for Laser Hair Removal in all skin types, the GentleLASE is a dual wavelength laser platform that combines the fastest and most powerful 755 nm Alexandrite laser with an equally powerful 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser plus Dynamic Cooling Device.
The laser’s target is the pigment in the hair follicle. Absorbing the heat it destroys the cells lining the hair follicle around the bulb, bulge, and vascular supply and is repeated over the course of several weeks to catch all hairs in the Anagen, or growth, phase of the hair cycle.

While it’s not quite the light sabre you may be imagining the GentleLASE laser pulse is administered via a handheld device. Both you and your therapist will wear protective eyewear and you can expect to feel a light spray of coolant on your skin before each laser pulse, covering a 18mm (20c coin) area per laser shot per second.
With all this in mind, hair is to be short for your laser treatment, about 2-3 days hair growth (3mm max. Shave or trim the hair before your treatment or allow us to look after that for you as shorter hair allows the laser to travel down to the follicle faster.

About those Results
Hair does not grow uniformly so we recommend at least six to eight treatments, six weeks apart for a significant reduction of up to 75 percent, however, results of up to 80 percent hair loss may require up to 10-12 treatments and we suggest a maintenance treatment every four months.
