Five stars for the Face of Man salon in York Street, Sydney.When I first made contact it was Susan who answered the phone, and she was so warm and... reassuring and wonderful that by the time I arrived at the salon it was like coming home and being among friends. Susan came down in the lift to let me in, because it was after business hours, and placed me safely in the hands of Rana. Susan is as delightful and charming in person as she is on the phone.Yesterday was my first visit there, and it was for my first-ever male brazilian. Wow! What an experience! It happened in this big, private space that was at once squeaky clean, minimalist and luxurious. And the bed was really comfortable, too :)Rana was funny, in her own wry and deadpan way, and so down-to-earth and professional that it never occurred to me to feel embarrassed or uncomfortable. Mind you, there was discomfort in the treatment itself, but she warned me of this upfront, with her own special brand of dark humour :) And it was over quickly because she's that good! Now I'm really happy with the result and pleased that I made the decision to have a brazilian. I feel like a new man. And I've booked in my next appointment.By the way, Face of Man is not some little shopfront salon looking out to the street. It's a suite of plush rooms and areas on the second floor above Abbey's Bookshop, completely discreet, and there's a feeling of space, privacy and luxury. The staff are warmly welcoming and amazing, and it's all just for men! How spoiling is that?I can totally recommend Face of Man to any man who thinks about his appearance and wants to present his best face and other bits to the world.
